We talk of the in phase and out of phase energy of each planet, sign or aspect. The out of phase quality of Pluto is self-negation. It is turning the self against itself. It is the paralyzing of the will. Giving your power away. It shows up as that inner voice that nags at you, belittles you, degrades you. Tells you that you aren’t good enough, pretty enough, smart enough, strong enough. Has you compare yourself to others, and the other always coming out on top. It is the worshipping of the Entertainer, Teacher, Guru, Specialist, Influencer. A cold, out of phase Pluto can be harsh in its intensity to make the self feel it’s never enough. An out of phase Pluto refuses to go into that energy of self negation. Instead it turns away from, runs from, puts the lid on the shadow. However, the in phase energy of Pluto is liberating.
